This was directed by Kichitarô Negishi, who made Detective Story (1983)… but also some more sleazy films like Distant Thunder and the Crazed Fruid remake.
Unfortunately, there don’t seem to be English subtitles for this, but I did get the Japanese retail subs from a TV broadcast.
