From the Meiji period to the early Showa period, there was an extraordinary genre painter that rebelled against Japan’s strict Confucian morality and expressed in the world of painting the perverted sexual desires built into the subconscious. This painter, that excels at bondage-themed works, takes his wife as a model, and captures the world of luscious ruin whilst drinking alcohol.
